about
I'm an artist and media designer turned software engineer.
I started out building websites for fun and profit in the early 2000s, experimenting in maker spaces, building interactive installations and media art. Over time, curiosity pulled me deeper into the guts of software. Eventually I fell into the rabbit hole of privacy and information security and found my home at Privacy Company.
My design background and my artistic practice continue to shape the way I work: I am fascinated by the way software is woven into our daily life and the tools we rely on to make sense of the world, and yet it remains largely mysterious and invisible to the everyday user.
I enjoy nothing more than being elbow-deep in the domain, building full-stack applications that focus on solving real problems and (why not!) even bring some joy ✨. Clojure has become my favourite way to do that.
Originally from the foggy shores of Lake Garda, I now live by the North Sea. When I'm not writing code, I'm either climbing walls, playing videogames, or devouring sci-fi books.

You can find me most reliably on tumblr and github. Use linkedin if you must.
Or you can email of course. I always have time to talk about how life is too short and love is too long.
